THE MEN’S BATHROOM SERVES AS A MICROCOSM OF SOCIETY, REFLECTING AND REINFORCING DEEPLY INGRAINED STEREOTYPES OF MASCULINITY. From an early age, boys are taught that they must adhere to certain expectations to be considered “real men.” These expectations often revolve around physical strength, emotional stoicism, and aggressive behavior. The men’s bathroom becomes a breeding ground for these notions, as men engage in various rituals to assert their dominance and prove their masculinity.
